Yoga is as much about arriving into a pose as it is about arriving into who you are meant to be
 

 

 Why Yoga?

I was four months pregnant when I moved from New York to Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Adjusting to a new place and to being a new mom was lonely and both overwhelming and underwhelming at the same time.

Enter: My first yoga class.

Here, I was told I was perfect, just as I was--no judgments. (If I had an audio, this is where the angels would start to sing). Not to mention—the physical aspects of yoga felt pretty great, too. Immediately I knew that I wanted to make yoga a part of my life.

My goals as a teacher has always been to help students find that same sweet exhale—knowing it’s ok to become more of who they are meant to be. Yoga has never been about touching my toes—it’s about finding balance and peace. I’ve learned that there’s no one correct way to be a mom….or to do anything. There’s just listening intuitively and finding what works for you and then going ahead and doing it (yup—like a warrior!)

About My Classes

I weave creative sequencing, with inspirations from yogis, writers, storytellers, and philosophers. I teach alignment-based vinyasa from the heart and am honored create a space where students can feel grounded, yet safe and encouraged take chances—sometimes even off the mat!

Background

Before moving the Lancaster I worked in children’s book promotion in New York City. Once in Pennsylvania I earned my Masters Degree in Education—and then received my yoga certification(s). I’m a lover of learning and all things creative; and the study of yoga has provided me with endless opportunities to delve into both. Yoga constantly reminds me that in any situation I can pause and call upon my breath to remain both grounded and flexible.
